CHICAGO — A suburban woman is now facing multiple felony charges after allegedly shooting someone she knew on Chicago’s West Side. Police say 43-year-old Alexis Dumas, of Schaumburg, was taken into custody Friday night, just about two hours after the shooting happened in the Austin neighborhood. CHICAGO — A Chicago man has been arrested and charged with murder months after a fatal shooting on the city’s South Side. Police say 36-year-old Curtis Pruitt is accused of killing a 41-year-old man during a shooting that happened in August 2025.
