For 2023 every 3 hours and 28 minutes a person is shot in Chicago, and every 15 hours and 16 minutes a person is murdered in Chicago. where as in 2022 every 2 hours and 26 minutes a person was shot. and every 11 hours and 56 minutes a person was murdered. most of these deaths are driven by gang violence.

A shooting in Humboldt Park on Sunday left a teenage boy dead and multiple people wounded.
Seandel Carter, 17, was fatally shot in the 800 block of North Hamlin Avenue just before 6:10 p.m., Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Two other males, ages 16 and 21, were also shot, according to police.
The 16-year-old male was hospitalized at West Suburban Hospital, and his condition was unknown. The 21-year-old man was in good condition at Stroger Hospital after being shot in the same block, police said.
No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.

A man was shot and killed Sunday night in the Chatham neighborhood.
The 28-year-old man was on the sidewalk in the 7900 block of South Drexel Avenue when passengers in a gray SUV fired gunshots about 10:30 p.m., according to Chicago police.
He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he later died, police said.
He was identified as Danny Edward Johnson by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
No one was in custody.

PARK FOREST, Ill. (WLS) -- Four people were shot, one fatally, in an apartment shooting in south suburban Park Forest Friday morning, police said.
A gathering was taking place at an apartment at the Central Park Apartments in the 100-block of Fir Street around 3:30 a.m. when shots were fired, police said.
Police said upon arrival, they found a chaotic scene with multiple people fleeing the area.
Police said officers learned there was an altercation between people attending a house party, which culminated with multiple people opening fire.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police identified him as 29-year-old Ladarius Williams of Chicago. They said he appeared to have been shot multiple times.
A 19-year-old from Waukegan and a 28-year-old from Chicago were taken to local hospitals then taken to a Chicago area trauma center in critical condition. Police said both underwent surgery and remain hospitalized. A 22-year-old from Chicago was treated at the scene and refused to further care, police said.
Police said several firearms were recovered at the scene, and several cars nearby were struck by gunfire durin the incident.
Neighbors said the area is usually very quiet.
"I looked out my door and I saw this, so it's just frightening to know that no matter where you are, you are not safe anymore," resident Keetha Moore said. "I've been in this town 30 years, I've never seen this kind of trouble come to our town. It's just sad. It's heartbreaking actually to know that somebody died right here under my nose."
"Nothing I've experience here before, so it was quite shocking. Of course you're wondering what's going to happen," said Emmer Adams, resident.
Police said an investigation is ongoing and a significant police presence remains in the area, but there is no threat to the community.
Neighbors said the people who live in the apartment have been there for less than a year. They said it's unusual for late night parties to happen in the area.
"The last five to six years you haven't seen parties and loud music and all that at all, so this is new most recent," Adams said.
No one is currently in custody. An investigation by Park Forest police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Taskforce is ongoing. Anyone with information should call the Park Forest Police Investigations Division at 708-748-1309.

Two people were shot, one fatally, Saturday evening in Grand Crossing on the South Side.
About 5:40 p.m., Timothy Taylor, 30, and a 24-year-old man were on the street in the 7000 block of South Lafayette Avenue when a vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.
Taylor was shot multiple times and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he later died, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The 24-year-old man was shot in the head and taken to the same hospital in critical condition, police said.

SAUK VILLAGE — A 19-year-old Sauk Village man was shot to death late Sunday in the front yard of his home, Police Chief Malcolm White said.
The deceased was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Pierre D. Boozer Jr.
Police said they responded around 11:24 p.m. Sunday to a report of shots fired in the 1800 block of 223rd Street.
"Responding officers discovered an unresponsive, 19-year-old gunshot victim in the front yard of the victim's residence," White said. "The victim was pronounced dead at the scene."

So Lauski was killed 15-20 minutes away from where Lil Pooh died, i am not sure what 067 means in his name, initially i was thinking 067 means TrapCity but he is from FlipSide, i got the confirmation today.
I personally don't think he killed Lauski but i think he knows who killed Lauski, again, i don't think it was opps like i said in my Lauski post, i think it was probably someone related to 400E/BloodHounds or just an argument gone wrong.
Lil Pooh had a daughter so pray for her, she lost her father.

A man was shot and killed Tuesday in West Englewood on the South Side.
The 25-year-old was walking about 4:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of West 66th Street when someone fired shots, striking him in his chest and hip, Chicago police said.
The man was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died, police said.
No arrests were reported.

A man was fatally shot Saturday night in Riverdale on the Far South Side.
About 9:20 p.m., Antoine Jackson, 20, was standing on the sidewalk in the 13000 block of South Champlain Avenue when he was shot in the chest and leg, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

St. Paul Police are now investigating a shooting that took the lives of two people on April 18 as a murder-suicide case.
On Tuesday, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Ernster said squads were dispatched to an apartment building on the 1400 block of Minnehaha Avenue East at 5:43 a.m. Tuesday morning on reports of a shooting. Arriving officers located a woman inside an apartment who had been shot. Despite lifesaving efforts, Ernster said the victim was declared dead on the scene.
While checking out the scene police came upon the body of a man outside in the back of the building who had also been fatally shot. The victims marked St. Paul's 11th and 12th homicides of 2023.
In an update shared on April 21, police identified the victims as a 27-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, both from St. Paul. Police said the two victims were cousins and investigators believe the young man killed the female victim before taking his own life.
"We want answers for the victims' families, we want answers for the people who live in this building, and we want answers for people who live in this neighborhood and for this city," Ernster told reporters on the day of the shooting.
Ernster also underlined how hard St. Paul PD is working to reduce gun crimes. He said gunshot victims are down 31% from this time last year, and shots fired reports are down 44%. "We have been very intentional about intervening in gun violence," he said.
Police said the investigation "remains active and ongoing."

Ronald Nalton was inside a car in the 2300 block of East 80th Street when he was struck in the chest by gunfire about 1 p.m., according to Chicago police.
He was taken to South Shore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
No one was in custody.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was shot to death inside a South Side home on Friday afternoon, Chicago police said.
The shooting happened in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood's 400 block of West 77th Street at about 1:36 p.m., police said.
Police said the 27-year-old victim was shot in the chest and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Jon D. Hill.
There is no one in custody, and area detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
