Two Arrested After Gunfire Erupts at Wilmington Apartment Complex Near Carolina Beach Road

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Two people have been arrested after a gunfight broke out at a Wilmington apartment complex near Carolina Beach Road, sending bullets flying through a crowded parking lot.


According to Wilmington police, officers responded to Starway Village on Conley Drive shortly after 3:30 p.m. on May 5 after reports of gunfire. Investigators say two people exchanged shots in the apartment complex parking lot before fleeing the scene. Thankfully, nobody was hit, but a parked vehicle was struck during the crossfire.

After launching an investigation, detectives tracked down a suspect vehicle in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Police searched the vehicle and reportedly discovered additional evidence tied to the shooting.


Authorities arrested 39-year-old Sabrina Tindall along with a 17-year-old male suspect. Police have not publicly released the juvenile’s name because of his age.
